Friday night we had Shabbat meal here at the Campbell's. They had been gone for a couple of weekends, so it was nice to have it. Friday is Preparation Day around here, much like the Jews do. We girls helped Mrs. Campbell clean the house well in the afternoon. Then in preparation for Supper, we dressed in nice clothes. The table was set beautifully with a white lace tablecloth and candles. Also gracing the table, were two loaves of bread under a beautiful cloth, and a glass pitcher of grape juice. Shabbat always starts out with the Lady of the House lighting the candles, and then the Man of the House, blesses the bread, and everyone holds up their glass of grape juice, and he blesses those too. Then Mr. Campbell read Proverbs 31, and blessed his wife and his Son, John who was here, as well as us girls! Mrs. Campbell had prepared a lovely yummy meal of chicken wings, ginger curry rice with carrots, salad, and cabbage. After supper, Scripture reading, and prayer, we girls soon put on our aprons and did the dishes. I love Friday and Shabbat meal!

Sister, that is so very cool!!!!!! When he blesses you girls, what does he say? I would like to practice the whole Shabbat meal thing-a-ma-jig one day, if I ever have a family. Maybe you can explain me how to do it. Good writing and descriptions, by the way!
