I had a great week! Fun things happened! First of all the greatest thing was that Eric came down for 4th of July weekend, and we got engaged! He gave me a beautiful ring too! We will Lord willing, be getting married on August 29th of this year. Thats exciting! Friday night Eric was here for Shabatt meal. That was nice! Candice helped me to do my hair and makeup before he got here! Candice Davidson arrived here at the Campbells to help out for a couple of weeks. She is such a sweet girl, and her and I have become really good friends! I greatly admire her! Her and I went into Dickson on Thursday night, and had supper at the "Country Kitchen" in Lyles. We then ended up at Cato's, Blockbuster, Peebles, and Walmart. I bought an awesome orange boho skirt at Cato's and we rented some movies at Blockbuster, and I got makeup etc. at the other two places. That was interesting because I am not too knowledgeable about it, but I got some good stuff. Lol. So, anyway, After Eric and I had Shabatt, and I helped with dishes, we went to the fireworks tent in Lyles and got some fireworks and looked at them. That was the first time I had ever been to a fireworks place. They had all sorts of cool ones. I especially wanted to get the big pretty kind that explode and let off all kinds of beautiful colors, and he wanted the ones that especially made the cool noises. It was interesting .Guys and Girls really do have somewhat different tastes in Fireworks! For 4th of July, we went for lunch at the Jobe's house. They have a big fish fry out by their creek. Lots of people go. They had all kinds of side dishes and dessert people bring too. So much food! The kids were all playing in the creek too. So I brought my African piece of cloth that can be used for lots of stuff, and we sat on it by the creek and had our lunch. First we sang "The Star Spangled Banner,", and did the "Pledge of Allegiance," and prayed. It was fun. That afternoon we decided to go to the "Tea Party" in Nashville that we had been told about. We finally saw what we thought was the tea party, payed 10 dollars to park, and walked down to the river front area, but then we discovered that it wasn't a Tea Party after all but the carnival type thing for 4th of July. There were lots of food booths, a concert, and lots of people! So, we just walked around for awhile. Eric talked to this one guy who was handing out flyers for a Phyicic. He talked to the guy about finding out what he believed in, instead of just believing in something blindly. It was good. Eric bought me a non-alcoholic pina colada, and then it was starting to rain, and we headed back to where we were parked. It started raining more, and then it was pouring about the time we got to the van. It was kinda like a movie scene. We were laughing, and he opened the door and took out the ring case, but I didn't notice it until he was standing in front of me, and he asked me if I would marry him, I didn't answer at first, but was laughing, then he got on one knee, and asked me again, and I said, "Yeah, I'll marry ya" so he put the ring on my finger. It is so pretty! It is 14 karat gold, with a beautiful diamond, and little ones embedded around the main one in the band. It is quite lovely! He couldn't have picked better! So, then we headed back to the Campbells, and showed everyone, and they were all excited for us. They were having a big cookout! Then later, Monique Campbell put on a performance of her bluegrass music. Her show name is "Smoochy McTwain." She was really good! It was her and her husband's 10th wedding anniversary, so she did a song she wrote for him. Then we had lots of beautiful fireworks! It started raining though! But it was amazing! So, yeah, it was a great weekend! So, yeah, I am engaged!

I know how much you love the holiday, and it seems like yours was straight out of "Country Magazine"! I am also glad that you got to experience the fireworks boothe, and with Eric, no less! He is so much fun to go places like that with! We must never lose our appreciation for the little things, that bring such happy pleasure! So, I thought you were getting married on the 12th. . . why does this post say the 29th? I'm royally confused, now! Is Monique the blonde, or the brunette? Oh, and where the 4th of July party was, is that where we went swimming? And, I loved the picture where you are with Elis--your hair looks really good.
